Sam worthington has starred in major blockbusters and won countless awards, but it’s his decade with wife Lara Worthington (née Bingle) that he counts as his “biggest achievement”.
The Avatar actor and his wife made a rare red carpet appearance together at the GQ Australia Men Of The Year Awards on Wednesday night in Sydney.
This year, Sam was awarded the highest honor of the night, with the Aussie actor taking home the coveted 2024 GQ Man of the Year trophy.

While walking the red carpet with his wife, the actor had a heartwarming answer when asked by Today about adding GQ Man of the Year to his long list of achievements.
“My biggest achievement is the 10 years with my wife,” Sam said while standing next to his longtime wife.
This year marks the Aussie power couple’s 10-year wedding anniversary since they tied the knot in Melbourne in December 2014.

The couple share three sons together, Rocket, nine, Racer, eight, and River, four.
”It’s always nice to celebrate with my husband, you know, his career that I’ve been a part of,” Lara gushed about her husband’s latest award on the red carpet.
“We’ve been together for 10 years this year, so it’s always nice to share these moments together.”

Hollywood couple celebrate milestone 20-year anniversary
For the Aussie-based awards night, the Clash of the Titans The star opted for a monochromatic look with a matching suit jacket and trousers.
Meanwhile his model wife stunned in a plaid halterneck dress by Hodakova and selected by her longtime stylist, Vanessa Coyle.
Lara finished her look for the night with her chic bob slicked back and tucked behind her ears to show off a pair of statement silver hoop earrings.

The fashionista tied the outfit together with a pair of classic black stilettos.
Lara was the one to present her husband with the GQ Man of the Year honor on stage.
“Anyone that knows Lara and I, know that this kind of thing, I’m out of my comfort zone a lot, but we both talked about this and we know it’s very important because the concept of ‘Man of the Year’ was very confusing to me, until I unpacked it,” Sam began his speech, as per gq,

In his speech the actor opened up about being a dad to three boys and the importance of teaching his sons “how to accept every bit of themselves without shame”.
The couple first met in 2013 in New York City.
A year later, they secretly got married while Lara was six months pregnant with their first child.
