Pink makes a heartwarming visit to sick kids at Melbourne hospital


Pink has warmed Australia’s hearts by using her time off from touring to visit sick kids at Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital,

The award-winning musician, 44, attended the hospital with her daughter Willow, 12, by her side, performing some of her famed songs to sick children.

Strumming her acoustic guitar, Pink and Willow played the smash hit Cover Me in Sunshine to a small audience, spreading some much-needed positivity.

The pop princess shared some footage of these touching moments on her Instagram, capturing moments with patients and their families.

The first part of the video shows Pink hugging a young girl, telling her, “You’re like a little light bulb,” to which she replies, “I love your music, it’s amazing.”

Pink and Willow made their rounds, spending special moments with everyone and giving lots of autographs, including one on a white guitar.

Pink captioned her post: “It’s been 22 years since I first visited families at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and it was a privilege to return to @rchmelbourne this week.”

“Thank you to everyone who spent time with Willow and me. Thank you for sharing your stories and letting us play you a couple of songs. We won’t forget this day 💜,” the singer continued.

All the times Pink has visited Australia

Pink was inundated with messages of support and praise, including a special one from Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital.

“Thanks so much to Pink, Willow and the amazing team! What a wonderful visit, it meant a lot to the families and staff 🌸 We hope to see you again next time🌟,” it wrote.

Comedian Sarah Silverman also wrote: “Whoa I didn’t know I needed this cry. Pink, I don’t know you but I love you and appreciate you.”

The singer will continue her Summer Carnival world tour in Australia next week in Melbourne.

She has been accompanied by her racing husband Carey Hart, 48 and their kids Willow, and Jameson, seven.
