Willie Nelson has cancelled another concert appearance during the Outlaw Music Festival Tour, sparking concern among fans of the music legend.
The musician, who turned 91 in April, pulled out of the Virginia Beach show just hours before Wednesday evening’s (Thursday AEST) performance.
“We expect Willie to return to the tour shortly,” his team added reassuringly in the social media post.

Willie’s son Lukas Nelson and his band were part of the tour line up, which also included Bob Dylan, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, as well as Celisse.
Lukas performed some of his dad’s classic hits and was joined on stage by special guests.
The news of Willie skipping the performance came just days after the Highwayman singer cancelled his appearance at the festival opener on June 21, “on doctor’s orders”.
“We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days,” a statement posted on social media announced.

“He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week.”
Singer Jessica Simpson sent well wishes, writing: “Love you”.
“Godspeed Willie,” QuestLove wrote.
Fans were a little more obvious in their concern for the country music legend.
“Sweating bullets rn (right now), not even because I have tickets to see him on Saturday but I’m not ready to roll Willie up yet,” one fan wrote.
Another pleaded: “Please just tell us what’s going on with the old dude”.
While another fan appeared to tell the management team they had “scared us all to death with this one” and another said their “heart dropped” with the announcement.
