Mary Fowler is one proud girlfriend.
The Matildas star, 21, couldn’t be there in person to cheer on her boyfriend Nathan Cleary26, at the NRL grand final on Sunday. But that didn’t stop her from showing some support.
After the Penrith Panthers claimed victory over the Melbourne Storm, Fowler took to social media to celebrate Cleary’s win.

The soccer star shared a photo of Cleary posing with the premiership trophy to her Instagram story along with a single word.
“Him,” Fowler captioned the pic with heart eyes and fire emojis.
A few hours she posted a photo of herself smiling and wearing a Penrith Panthers shirt.
The Aussie posed with her thumbs up while wearing the shirt, showing support to her beau and his team, who marked a historic fourth consecutive premiership win.

“A good weekend indeed,” she captioned the post.
Cleary later shared the photo of his girlfriend in the Panther merch to his own story.
Fowler was unable to make the trip to Australia due to her own sport commitments.
The soccer star is currently playing overseas for Manchester City in the English Women’s Super League.

Over the weekend Manchester City had a 2–0 victory over West Ham, with Fowler scoring one goal and assisting the other.

Last week Cleary opened up about the attention around his high-profile relationship with Fowler on Nine’s Marlee and Me,
Speaking to host Marlee Silva, the footy star detailed one time being chased by paparazzi before going public with their relationship.
“Whenever I was with her, it just felt like we were two normal people… and then all of a sudden people were taking photos of us, and then they were being published, and then there were articles, then there was people waiting out the front of my house,” he said.
Clearly later shared one thing he is appreciate for is they’ve managed to keep their relationship quite private.
“We’re both quite private people and we won’t really speak on what our relationship is like,” he explained. “We’re just grateful for each other, and I’m very lucky that I’ve got her and she’s super supportive.”
