At 21, Mary Fowler has already forged an impressive career – one most only dream of.
Her undeniable talent on the soccer pitch, athletic discipline and genuine nature have seen her become a star of the sports and an idol for many young soccer players.
Having already smashed some big-ticket goals – competing with the matildas for the FIFA Women’s World Cup and recently qualifying for Paris 2024 – Fowler has revealed she has “only” one dream at the moment.

In an interview with Today‘s Sarah Abo on Wednesday, the athlete says she dreams of building a family.
“You’ve already achieved so much but, as a 21-year-old, you still have so much of your career ahead of you, so what goals do you set yourself?” Abo asked.
“It sounds silly saying it at this age,” Fowler said, laughing, “but my only dream right now is to have a family one day and have kids.”

Fowler said her dream of building a family one day is what keeps her motivated in her life and career.
“That’s what keeps me going and grounds me, because I’m always thinking about what story I’d like to tell them one day when I finish my career,” she explained.
This comes as the Matildas star only recently confirmed her relationship with NRL player Nathan Cleary,

She posted a photo of herself and partner Cleary early this year, confirming the couple’s romance.
Abo asked Fowler about her relationship with the NRL player, drawing a brief response from the athlete.
“Well, Karl (Stefanovic) has a big man crush on Nathan Cleary, your boyfriend of course. How are you two doing?” she asked.

“Yes, everything’s all good,” she confirmed.
Fowler further revealed her family and community values. Speaking to her current involvement in the Uber reserve campaign, she credited those closest to her for inspiring her love for soccer.
“Being able to play community sport, playing with my sister and my friends – that’s where a lot of my enjoyment came from and where my love did kind of begin for the sport,” she said.
