George Clooney is not impressed with one famous film director who claimed he’s “not a movie star” after decades in Hollywood.
Clooney, 63, recently sat down with fellow A-lister Brad Pitt for a new cover story interview with GQ magazine when asked about “great directors” of their generation.
Along with being co-stars in the upcoming thriller film Wolfsthe pair have another thing in common – they’ve both worked with renowned director Quentin Tarantino,

But when the conversation steered to director Tarantino, Clooney said he was a “little irritated” over some recent comments he claimed were made about his film career.
“Quentin said some s–t about me recently, so I’m a little irritated by him,” Clooney claimed about the Kill Bill director.
Clooney acted alongside Tarantino in the 1996 film From Dusk Till Dawn. Meanwhile, Pitt most recently worked on the director’s 2019 movie Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood.

“He did some interview where he was naming movie stars, and he was talking about you, and somebody else, and then this guy goes, ‘Well, what about George?’ He goes, he’s not a movie star,” the actor told Pitt mid-interview.
“And then he literally said something like, ‘Name me a movie since the millennium.’ And I was like, “Since the millennium? That’s kind of my whole f–ing career,” he claimed.

“So now I’m like, all right, dude, f–k off. I don’t mind giving him shit. He gave me s–t,” Clooney concluded.
Clooney has been on the Hollywood scene since the 1980s and starred in major films such as From Dusk Till Dawn before the noughties.

“I mean, when you’re a young actor you just want a job,” he said, adding the experience “was the time of my life, it was so much fun.”
