This year’s VMA nominations have been revealed and it looked like a Taylor Swift song predicted exactly which artists would be on top for 2024.
She and Fortnight collaborator Post Malone are the most and second-most nominated artists respectively, with Swift snagging 10 award nods and Postie (real name Austin Richard Post) receiving nine.

Swift is once again nominated in the top category – video of the year – after winning it the last two years in a row, meaning she could be in for a ‘three-peat’ if she takes it home again in 2024.
If she did, she’d be the first artist in VMA history to win video of the year back-to-back for three years, as well as the first to win the category five times overall.

Eight of Post’s nominations come directly from his song with Swift and he picked up a ninth for his country track I Had Some Help, which he recorded with country music juggernaut Morgan Wallen.
Other big-name music stars who scored multiple award nominations include Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter, with both former Disney child stars nabbing six award nods.
Carpenter also toured with Swift recently, including at her Australian Eras Tour dates.
