Celebrities who have lost their homes in LA’s fires

”We are very much thinking of our colleagues, friends, community over there,” BAFTA chair Sara Putt told The Associated Press.

“It’s devastating what’s going on.”

However, she wouldn’t be drawn on if or how the fires might impact the ceremony, considered the UK’s answer to the Oscars.

“The ceremony is a month away, it would be inappropriate and far too early to say anything about that,” Putt said.

The BAFTAs will take place at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, February 16 (Monday, February 17 AEDT) and will be streaming live on BritBox in Australia.
