Gordon Ramsay has spoken about his horrifying biking accidentgiving fans a highly-anticipated update.
In June, the celebrity chef He opened up about the incident which occurred while riding his bike, saying that he is “lucky to be alive”.
he shared a video on Instagram pleading his 17 million followers to always wear helmets, including a before-and-after photo of his cycling gear, saying he was: “most thankful for my helmet that saved my life.”

This week, he opened up in a cover story for Men’s Health UK revealing the extent of his mobility struggles.
“I couldn’t even put my f—ing socks and pants on,” he confessed. “Justin (Mandel, his assistant), he used to dress me in the morning. I felt like a f—ing 95-year-old man. Asking a 30-year-old kid to put my f—ing. “underpants on was embarrassing.”

Posing shirtless, Ramsay looks to have returned to his normal self and is making a great recovery from the accident.
When he first announced he had been in the biking incident, he wrote: “This week I had a really bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut.
“I’m doing OK and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato,” then revealing a giant purple bruise on his left hip.
“I’m thankful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most thankful for my helmet that saved my life.”

In the video, Ramsay shared that the accident “really shook” him, adding that he’s “lucky to be here” and praising the trauma surgeons, doctors, nurses and other hospital staff who aided his recovery.
“Honestly, you’ve got to wear a helmet,” he said. “I don’t care how short the journey is, I don’t care, you know, the fact that these helmets cost money… they’re crucial. Even with the kids, a short journey, they’ve got to wear a helmet.
“Now, I’m lucky to be standing here,” Ramsay continued. “I am in pain, it’s been a brutal week, and I am sort of getting through it. But I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet.”
