Google Pixel 8a Launch Date: Google launched the Pixel 8 Series in 2023. The Series had two smartphones – Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro. The tech major is now planning to introduce a more affordable under this series – Google Pixel 8a. According to reports, the launch will take place during its annual Google I/O event. The company has already announced the date for the event, which is May 14.

Latest reports suggest that Google will introduce several AI features with this Pixel 8a smartphone. Recently a promo video got leaked that also hinted about AI features that Google Pixel 8a could come loaded with.

From AI-mazing to Audio Magic Eraser to Call Assist for call screening, and Circle to Search, the Google Pixel 8a is expected to be loaded with all these AI features.

The Google Pixel 8a is expected to come with a Google Tensor G3 processor. In terms of charging, the smartphone is expected to come with considerable upgrades as it may support up to 27W or 30W charging. In Pixel 7a, it was just 18W. The device is expected to have a 4,500mAh battery.

Also, the smartphone is expected to come with IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. In terms of color options, the device may be available in four color options – Obsidian (black), Mint (green), Porcelain (light beige), and Bay (blue).

The company is likely to offer seven years of security updates.

Reports suggest that Pixel 8a will come with a 6.1-inch display that may support a 120Hz refresh rate. In terms of camera, the device may come with a dual camera setup at the rear with a primary camera of 64MP camera with OIS. It will be accompanied by a 13MP sensor. For selfies, the device is likely to have a 13MP selfie camera.
