Former Vine star Logan Paul has pranked the BBC during what was intended to be a serious interview.
BBC journalist Matt Shea spent months chasing down Paul for an interviewafter an investigation led him to believe that Paul may have profited from misleading fans regarding crypto currency, however Paul denies any wrongdoing.
Eventually, the Youtuber unexpectedly agreed to sit down with Shea in a Puerto Rico boxing studio owned by his brother, Jake Paul.

However, when Shea and his team arrived for the interview, they found out that Paul had pulled a prank on them, sending a lookalike rather than showing up himself.
BBC cameras captured the moment Shea confronted the lookalike and asked, “is Logan coming?”
The lookalike simply responded, “I’m right here bud.”
Shea then exclaimed, “I’m not doing this,” and told his team it was time for them to leave.

In a piece published by the BBC Recounting the encounter, they shared that at that moment, a group of people showed up with banners and megaphones, shouting that “the BBC were ‘paedophiles’.”
“We had flown all that way just to be trolled,” they wrote.
According to the BBCminutes after they were made aware that Paul had abandoned the interview, they received a lawyer’s letter on behalf of the influencer, “warning us of the possible consequences if we published our findings.”
Shea and his team were working on their documentary Logan Paul: Bad Influence? which premiered on Wednesday, November 20.

Paul came under fire in 2021 when he tweeted about a particular crypto coin, which an anonymous wallet with close connections to his personal wallet had traded in.
He is currently facing allegations that he has profited over sharing misleading information regarding crypto currency, and is also up against a multi-million dollar lawsuit over a failed crypto project titled CryptoZoo.
Paul denies any wrongdoing.
