Reese Witherspoon‘s daughter Ava Phillippe has a strong message for critics.
The 24-year-old influencer and artist, who is the legally blonde star’s eldest child with ex-husband Ryan Phillippetook to her Instagram story to call out some of her one million followers who had commented on her body.
“Bodyshaming is toxic behaviour,” Phillippe wrote over a selfie with her dog. “(Asked Benji and he agrees).”

Phillippe added: “So maybe just… don’t do that??”
She also addressed the issue on her TikTok account, sharing a video to the sound of No Doubt’s Just a Girl,
“(No big deal) but I just achieved a major milestone as a woman online…” Phillippe wrote as she applied lipstick in front of a mirror.

“I saw two different strangers commenting on my body,” she continued.
“The first said I should get on (Ozempic) because I’m too fat… The second accused me of starving myself because I’m too thin…”
“My weight did not change in the time period between their comments,” Phillippe wrote, adding that ”it wouldn’t be any of their business if it did!”

“It’s such bulls–t,” she continued.
“No one deserves to be picked apart for what they look like. You don’t always know what someone’s gone through or what they struggle with.
“But no matter who you are… your beauty exceeds superficial measures.”

She then wrote in the caption of the video: “Pretty is as pretty does, babes…& bodyshaming is simply toxic behaviour.”
Phillippe noted that she had seen those types of comments aimed ”disproportionately to young girls & women” but also added a clarification.
She concluded: “But let me be clear; bodyshaming is toxic no matter who the subject is. We all deserve to feel safe & at peace in the vessel we live in.”
