All My Children star Colin Egglesfield has shared a powerful message about “resilience” amid a devastating health update,
The actor, 51, revealed on Instagram he has been diagnosed with cancer for a third time.
Egglesfield was diagnosed with testicular cancer on two previous occasions. His first diagnosis was nearly 20 years ago in 2006.

The actor began his message with an inspirational quote he found from an old interview that had “served me well throughout my life including recently.”
“It’s not the hand that you’ve been dealt because you can’t change that. It’s how you play the cards that counts,” the quote read.
Egglesfield, known for starring as Josh Madden on the soap drama All My Childrenshared several photos taken from the City of Hope Cancer Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
“The beginning to this year hasn’t been the easiest, but in the spirit of what I said in my interview, this is another opportunity to decide who I choose to be in the face of uncertainty and challenges in my most recent cancer diagnosis, ” the star wrote.

Egglesfield said he had “elected to be proactive” and undergo surgery after his prostate cancer diagnosis was detected early.
The star went on to thank his doctors and the medical staff looking after him over the past few months through this “scary time.”
He also thanked everyone else who had wished him well through his health ordeal, remaking he felt it “each day I’m getting healthier and stronger”.

“I’m still a bit sore but I’m making progress and am determined to come back stronger and healthier than ever especially with the help of my sexy walker :)” he continued, including a photo of him using said walker during his recovery. .
Speaking from his experience, the actor said it “all starts with a decision to commit to what you decide to be with whatever you’re facing.
“I decide to be RESILIENCE, FAITH, COURAGE, GRACE and INSPIRATION.”
Egglesfield concluded with a reminder his male followers to get their prostate checked.
“It saved my life!”
The actor first shared his previous cancer diagnoses with the world in 2019.
The actor found out in 2006 – not long after being cast in All my Children – He had testicular cancer.
After undergoing surgery, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer again a year later.
Egglesfield is known for his acting, including in Melrose Place and Something Borrowed.
