As Americans honored our military heroes over Memorial Day weekend, CBS News Highlights a tail-wagging story from American Humane’s Military Dog Reunification Program.

Recently, we reunited two retired military working dogs, Aida and Poker, with their former US Marine Corps handler—and best friends—veteran Dalton and Sgt. to Isaac. CBS’s Omar Villafranca joined us in Tyler, Texas to capture the heartwarming reunification. The segment aired on July 4th during CBS Mornings, shedding light on these heroes’ stories and the importance of finding forever homes for our nation’s military dogs.
