Aussie music sensation The Kid LAROI has surprised a roaring crowd with his performance at the NRL grand final.

He kicked off his headline act, emerging from inside the tunnel with hit Baby I’m Back as sparklers launched from the field.

The Kid LAROI pumped up a sea of ​​Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers supporters at Sydney’s Accor Stadium with a surprise medley of girls, Stay without you and even INXS’ Never Tear Us Apart.

The Sydney-born rapper, who was once described as one of the fastest rising music stars in the world, first rose to fame with his debut mixtape F*ck Love in 2020, which peaked on the ARIA charts, making him the youngest Australian solo act to achieve this.

It also led to success overseas, with one of his most successful collaborations being his song stay with Justin Bieber in 2021.

The NRL grand final performance comes on the heels of the North American leg of his The First Time Tour, where he performed for fans in 31 cities.

The 21-year-old has long been a fan of the NRL, having been born and raised in Sydney’s Waterloo and spending his childhood supporting the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
