BruceWillis wife Emma Heming Willis has shared an emotional tribute to her husband on their 17-year anniversary and amid his battle with frontotemporal dementia.
Emma, 46, shared what appeared to be a throwback picture of the pair together while on holiday in Turks and Caicos and admitted anniversaries are getting harder and harder.
In her post, the model candidly said that their anniversaries “leave a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach”.

“17 years of us ❤️Anniversaries used to bring excitement — now, if I’m honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach,” she wrote in her post.
“I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the ‘why him, why us,’ to feel the anger and grief. Then I shake it off and return to what is.”
Emma said they have nothing but “unconditional love” together and that she would “do it all over again and again”.

“And what is… is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know it, and it’s because of him. I’d do it all over again and again in a heartbeat 💞,” she finished.

“I love you so much. Both of you 321,” Bruce’s daughter Tallulah Willis commented underneath.
“The meaning of true love,” one follower sweetly added underneath.
Willis, known for films including Die Hard and The Sixth Sensewas first diagnosed with aphasia in 2022, before being additionally diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Emma shares two children with the star, who is also father to daughter Rumer Willis, 36, Tallulah Willis30, and Scout LaRue Willis, 33, who he shares with ex-wife Demi moore.
The news of his diagnosis shocked the world as his family put on a united front.
In March 2022, his family shared a heartbreaking statement saying that the actor, 69, was quitting Hollywood and “stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him”.
“This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support,” they said.
Daughter Rumer Willis recently told Fox News Digital the family often share updates on Bruce to perhaps give others hope if they’re going through the same thing.
“I think, for me, through this experience, what’s been so incredible is my dad is so beloved, and that’s been so evident in the transparency with which we’ve been sharing,” she said.
“And I think if there’s any way sharing our experience brings hope – whatever comes forward as a family – that can have an effect and bring any sort of hope, comfort to someone else experiencing that, then to me, that’s … everything.”
