It’s been a long time coming and it’s finally here: the final show of Taylor Swift’s record-obliterating Eras Tour,
The American pop icon has taken to the stage in Vancouver, Canada – the show kicking off at 3pm AEDT – to wrap up the show’s almost two-year run, which began in March 2023.
Pour one out for the fans around the world whose social feeds will suddenly feel a lot quieter and less colorful in the post-Eras Tour aftermath.

Until then, here are some of the best bits of Swift’s final performance and the response from fans.
‘Adventure of a lifetime’
After singing Champagne Problems – and receiving the requisite deafening applause afterward – Swift took a moment to pay tribute to her fans, band and crew.
“This tour has been the adventure of a lifetime, and I speak on behalf of my band, my crew, who all left their families and spent time away from everything they know and love and performed when they were sick, when anything was going on in their lives, they made sure this show happened for you,” she said.

So far, Aubrey Plaza, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder and The Officee’s Jenna Fischer have been spotted in the stands, but no doubt more famous faces will emerge.
The best social reactions
As is to be expected, X, TikTok and other social platforms are alight with fans reacting to the final show as they follow livestreams online.
From cunning schemes to make the concert last forever, to High School Musical references, in sum: nobody is OK.
Kam’s final bridge
One of the funniest details of the Eras shows is when Swift’s dancer Kam Saunders adapts the spoken bridge of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together for each tour location.
Along the way, Kam has often substituted the line “like, ever” with a local reference or catchphrase; in Australia, it ranged from “yeah, nah” to “bugger off”, “rack off, mate” and, at the pinnacle, “tell him he’s dreamin'” – a classic quote from The Castle.
But for the last show in Vancouver, Kam played it a little straighter, delivering a simple: “For the last time, NO!”
Gracie Abrams’ emotional farewell
Swift’s support act Gracie Abrams was just as emotional as any fan watching on as she opened the final performance.
Before she began singing, the Close To You The singer pulled out a piece of paper and read out a speech, admitting she was “not ready for it to be over”.
“Like all of you, I (was) brought up with Taylor’s songs,” Abrams began.

“Magically, needing a moment in my life that I didn’t think anyone else could understand or know or ached or yearned or loved or lost, and yet she did. How are we supposed to have the words for it? We don’t yet.
“But I do know that we have each other, thanks to Taylor, her music, her generosity, her curiosity, her wild and unmatched pen, her super power of seeing into our lives and creating soundtracks for every single formative moment we’ve had. and that we will have.”
