As she promoted her latest Netflix seriesThe Perfect CoupleKidman revealed she checked in with her friend before accepting the role as Liev Schreiber’s on-screen wife.
Schreiber and Watts were together for over a decade and share two kids, Sasha and Kai.
the kid joked to Entertainment Tonight that she had to “beg” Schreiber to “marry” her, before the reporter asked, “I heard a story that you asked Naomi first if it was OK.”

Confirming that was the case, Schreiber replied: “Isn’t that amazing? That’s how close they are.”
Watts also attended the Toronto International Film Festival for her new film. The Friendwhere she also spoke about her friendship with her fellow Aussie actress.
“We always check in; we’re besties,” Watts told EW,
“That was very kind of her to do that.”
Watts said she looked forward to watching The Perfect Couple: “I’m desperate to (watch) because everyone is raving about it. It just launched, what, two days ago.

“I’m very much looking forward to it. I have seen the trailer. It looks fantastic.”
In an interview with People earlier this year, Watts opened up about her relationship with Kidman, revealing the pair met at an ’80s swimsuit commercial audition.
“We covered everything, what movies we loved, what friends we had in common, our parents, schools, parties, boyfriends, teenage stuff,” she recalled, adding that she was scared to get the bus home afterwards.
“Back in the Stone Age, we didn’t have cell phones or Uber accounts. And no, our mums were not waiting for us outside,” she continued.
“But Nic offered to spring for a taxi, and she said she would drop me on the way home, even though it was 20 minutes out of her way and it was an extra $15.00 on the meter.”

“She’s opened up her homes to me. She’s made me feel like part of her family. She was like the sister I’d never had,” Watts said.
“She’s incredibly supportive of other women. For 10 years, when I lived very much under the radar, she repeated to me, ‘One thing, Nay, one thing will change everything, I swear. Just hang in there’.”Birdman star said, Kidman was right.
