Céline Dion’s The team has slammed former US President Donald Trump for his unauthorized use of one of her songs during a campaign rally.
Trump’s team used Dion’s classic hit My Heart Will Go On during a campaign rally held in Montana on Friday, August 9 (Saturday, August 10 in Australia).
Video footage surfaced on social media of not just the song playing at the rally, but video footage of Dion singing the famous track screened at the event.

The next day, Dion’s team released a statement clarifying that it never gave permission for the song to be used at Trump’s rally.
“Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana,” read a post made on Dion’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
“In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use. …And really, THAT song?”

Céline Dion opens up about health battles in new documentary
Many of Dion’s fans have now taken to social media to rally behind the singer and poke fun at the campaign’s use of the song made famous by the 1997 film Titanic.
“Is Trump’s campaign being trolled from within? Someone on his staff decided to play Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” from Titanic at his Montana rally,” wrote NBC ExecutiveMike Sington, on X. “Many consider Titanic a metaphor for Trump’s sinking campaign.”

“Trump opening his rally playing the Titanic My Heart Will Go On music video from Celine Dion. Interesting Choice….really firing the crowd up,” wrote another user,
A third X user took to the platform to echo the sentiment, writing, “Trump and Vance playing Titanic’s My Heart Will Go On at their Montana rally?
“Perfect—because when your campaign’s headed for an iceberg, you might as well set it to music.”
