The next Summer Olympic games will be held in Tinseltown, the home of majority of the stars we’ve seen in Paris plus many, many more.
The Olympics is the hottest ticket in town which is presumably why we’ve seen so many celebrities make the journey, but with the Olympics set to be held in the celebs’ home town, they could end up stealing the spotlight from the athletes who have worked their whole life to make it to the world stage?
Well, hopefully not, but there is some speculation for what’s in store.

On August 12 the world will be tuning in to the Olympic closing ceremony, saying “au revoir” to the Olympic Games for another four years, and there’s rumors that one of Hollywood’s biggest stars is set to play a huge role.

The Olympic closing ceremony often includes a nod to the upcoming Olympic Games, in this instance Paris will be handing the baton to Los Angeles.
And who better to perform a stunt-filled tribute to La La Land than Hollywood legend, Tom Cruise.

The Mission Impossible The star has reportedly been seen filming stunts in Los Angeles for a pre-taped segment for the ceremony, one of which includes him skydiving down to the Hollywood sign.
It’s reported that the segment will involve Cruise repelling from the Stade de France onto the field carrying the Olympic flag before viewers watching on TV will see the pre-recorded stunts play out as Cruise flies in a plane from Paris to LA.

Historically, Olympic closing ceremony handovers have sometimes involved a celebrity, but if the rumors are true, Cruise’s segment could be one of the most celebrity-centric segments the Olympics have ever seen.
That is until the games are taken to home soil for the world’s biggest stars in 2028.
As the celebrities continue to fill the stands in Paris, we can only speculate about what’s to come. Will star power steal the spotlight at Los Angeles 2028, or will the celebs take a back seat to let the athletes shine?
